24th July….We plan to arrive at Delhi on 25th July at 08:20 AM, then one night stay at Delhi Gurdwara International Centre. We will have the chance to visit Delhi Historic Gurdwara Sahib as well as other local historical Gurdwaras in Delhi.
25th July…We shall start our journey to Baru Sahib which should take approx.12 hours.
26th July…Arrive at Baru Sahib. Campers will have to attend the Ardaas for start of the Camp.
26thJuly…Teachers & Sevadaars will get to know the students. Each student will have their own teacher that will be able to adapt their teaching according to the amount of santhiya or Kirtan the student knows. Teachers will also focus on improving campers Punjabi speaking skills as well as reading and writing.
26th July…Campers will be given the chance to become familiar with camp rules, the campus and routine. They will also be given uniform (White & Blue Bana) as well as camper’s packs.
There will also be Quiz Nights, Dastaar tying competition, Gatka Competition, Painting competition, Regular Question & Answer sessions, Kirtan opportunities and many other activities.
Potential visits during camp: Poanta Sahib & Shimla, Sunday Activities include trekking, Picnics at beautiful locations around Baru sahib as well as visits to waterfalls.
We will also have a Mid Camp ceremony and Final Ceremony where campers will be encouraged to perform what they have learnt throughout the camp.
22nd August…We will leave Baru Sahib and make our way to Delhi for our flight on the 24th of August.
