Shabad Kirtan has been an integral part of Sikh worship from the very beginning. It was the earliest form of devotion for the Sikhs.
Even in the time of Guru Nanak, the disciples assembled together to listen and sing shabads, i.e. hymns composed by the Guru and thus to render praise to the Lord.
Kalgidhar society is dedicated to gurmat parchaar for the youth. Weekly Gurmat Sangeet and tabla classes are provided to the students on daily basis.
Students can choose to learn to play any of the following music instruments: Harmonium, Tabla, Sitar, Violin, Rabab,
Saranda, Taus, Sarangi, Dilruba etc.
